Sledding
Sledding is the perfect family-friendly activity for people of all ages to enjoy. If you’re in the Breckenridge area, head over to Carter Park. The park has an easy slope for the kids to navigate and offers a great view of Ten-mile Range. If you’re looking for something more thrilling, visit Country Boy Mine for their extreme sledding. Didn’t bring a sled? Don’t worry! Many of the local stores sell sleds all winter and a few we recommend are City Market at 400 North Parkway or Breckenridge Market at 311 South Ridge Street.
Dog Sledding
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to wind through the snowy trails by dog sled, Summit County offers this too! Dog sledding trips and tours are available with Good Time Adventures available for adults and children.
Tubing
Another great family activity is tubing. While sledding and tubing are very similar, snow tubes are more aerodynamic allowing for higher speeds. Local tubing attractions can be found at Frisco Adventure Park, East Village in Copper, or Adventure Park in Keystone. No matter how or where you decide to sled, you’ll be sure to make lasting memories!
