Breckenridge

Breck is home to five picturesque peaks, Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. Across these, a total of 187 trails, 35 lifts, and 2,908 skiable acres exist to excite visitors. Peak 8 is where most of the action lives as it is home to the base of the Breckenridge Ski Resort and dons the most slopes of varying skill level. Peak 9 is an excellent stop for beginners while Peaks 6, 7, and 10 primarily offer intermediate to expert level skiing. For more information on the peaks, visit the Breckenridge Ski Resort website.

Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain is another fan-favorite for skiing in Summit County. This peak features 140 trails, 24 lifts, and 2,507 skiable acres. This is a fantastic peak for groups of varying skill level with several beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert trails available. Keystone

For further stunning peaks, check out the Keystone area. Here, you’ll find three peaks, Dercum Mountain, North Peak, and The Outback. Across these are 130 trails, 20 lifts, and 3,148 acres of skiable area. Keystone is a particularly great area for advanced and expert skiers with 88% of their terrain listed as higher difficulty. Arapahoe Basin

While A-Basin may be the smallest ski area in Summit County, it makes up for it with the longest ski season in Colorado. A-Basin features 147 trails, 9 lifts, and 1,400 skiable acres, 125 of which are snowmaking acres. This peak is largely geared towards more advanced level skiers but does offer a few easy slopes for beginners as well. Visit the Arapahoe Basin website to learn more about the area.
